I love the smell of commerce in the morning

30 November 2003 - 12:32 pm

The crisp air and smell of commerce in the morning can mean only one thing: it is the season for Very Special Holiday Movies, the death knell of any career.

This year we bid farewell to Gary Sinise as well as adieu (once again) to Valerie Bertinelli. I should note that it is not clear whether Mrs. Eddie Van Halen has had a career since those heady days of One Day at a Time (can no less than 20 TV movies really constitute a career?).

But who would have thought that Lt. Dan would sell out with such gusto?

I mean - I like that the Red Sox signed Curt Schilling. But I wouldn’t go so far as to say that they have a better pitching staff than the Yankees (per ESPN).

Edward

25 November 2003 - 09:15 pm

Is this for real? Are these people serious? I quote:

It was an epiphany that changed my life. I started wearing their clothes and it made me cool and hip differentiating me with the rest of the Gap wearing populace. Instead of watching TV at home now I was out doing things.

You may be horrified to learn that “Edward” is referring to Abercrombie & Fitch.
